October 5th signaled our 1 year milestone of ōSHen Knits & Fibres setting up shop in downtown Astoria, and we thought, why not throw a birthday bash weekend with our awesome and crafty crew!

Saturday

The weekend started with a beautiful button pop up with Julie of Textile Divisions with the most stunning and eclectic selection of buttons you can find in the area. She doesn't sell her buttons online, so this was a treat for our local crafters to be able to shop these goodies!

Everyone lined up in the afternoon to receive one of the adorable exclusively designed flash tattoos from Luke Reuben made especially for this event and was his first tattoo session in Astoria before he opens up his own spot in town making it extra special! Needles to say, the mullets were flowing on Saturday!

Sunday

Sunday was the main event, and what an event it was! Mocktail Orange's cider and mojito creations were the perfect pick-me-ups needed to get the day started - the cider had B12 in the N/A bourbon to boost everyone's energy and the most beautiful faux-jito featuring butterfly pea iced tea and Lion's Mane N/A spirits that was perfect for the sunny day we had!

What's a birthday party without a birthday cake?! We were completely blown away at this stunning creation from Sarah at Gathered Bakeshop, who went above and beyond our expectations to make one of the most phenomenal jellyfish cakes we've ever seen! The flavor? Lilac lemon jello for the top and a roasted strawberry for the cake. YUM!

We adored seeing Renée from Simply Human Art flaunting her inking talents at this shindig with the most adorable yarn-meets-nautical flash tattoos we've laid eyes on! The Shramp was the crew's go-to pick!

We couldn't throw a bash without hanging out with one of our all-time faves, Autumn from Autumn Eve's Art. Autumn whipped up awesome window portraits of our crew who popped by to party, so we can reminisce about this epic day and our awesome community!
